Who We Are

CCT Staff

Our strength as a Team
Our program team is comprised of multi-disciplinary professionals who want the best for our students, families, and community.  Our staff members are highly trained and skilled in their respective areas of expertise and continue to educate themselves about recent trends and current research.

Patti Wagman, Program Coordinator

I joined the CCT Team in August, 2012 and am thrilled to coordinate such a wonderful Team!  I was born in Regina, SK but have lived in Medicine Hat since 1993.  I love most types of music but you'll probably find 70's or 80's rock/pop on my playlist! I decided recently to learn how to play ukulele because it's an instrument that just makes me smile. I enjoy unwinding with a good book, a great movie, or cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I also cherish the time spent with my family.

Lana Walton, Wellness Facilitator (St. Mary's, Mother Teresa, St. Michael's)

My name is Lana Walton and I have been a Wellness Facilitator with CCT since 2015.  I was born in Coaldale, AB and have lived in Medicine Hat since 1999.  I enjoy fishing, hiking and camping to relax and take care of my mental health.  When I'm not at work, you will probably find me doing activities with my family and/or my many pets.  You'd probably find hard rock on my current playlist. The thing I enjoy most about my jobs is building relationships with the students!

Ashley Fisher, Wellness Facilitator (Notre Dame Academy, St. Louis and St. Patrick's School)

My name is Ashley Fisher and I am a Wellness Facilitator for the Community Coming Together Project. I am thrilled to be back for another great year at Notre Dame Academy, St. Louis and St. Patrick’s school. You will see me around the school helping out wherever I can to provide positive Mental Health services to students and staff through presentations and activities in the classroom!  I am originally from Taber, Alberta and moved to Medicine Hat in 2008 where I obtained my diploma in Child and Youth Care Counseling. In my free time I love spending time with family, friends and going to yoga!

Brittany LeBlanc, Wellness Facilitator (St. Francis, Monsignor McCoy, Ecole St. John Paul II)

I am a brand-new member of the CCT (Community Coming Together) team. As a Wellness Facilitator, I work with students, staff, families and community members to promote positive mental health. This year, you will find me at Monsignor McCoy, St. Francis Xavier and St. John Paul II. I am a social worker and passionate about youth mental health. I believe that mental health capacity building is key to strengthening our resiliency and coping with life’s challenges. When I am not at work, I love to travel, learn Spanish and Mandarin, read and drink lots and lots of coffee. I am excited to get to know everyone, and I hope to contribute to the strong sense of community you have built together

Jessalyn Phillips, Wellness Facilitator

Hello! I am a new temporary member of the CCT program, thanks to a generous grant from Family & Community Support Services (FCSS).  I started with CCT in September as a Child & Youth Care Counselling practicum student and have now stepped into the role of Wellness Facilitator.  I am a previous MHCBE student and I am excited to be back and to work in the schools around positive mental health.  Outside of work, I am a Girl Guide leader and member of Girl Guides of Canada sicne 2004.  I love to spend time with my family and pets, and taking care of my plants.
